missingWrote a review on 28 Junhistoric charmcomfortable roomsgreat breakfastcar parkroom temperature
Centrally located, this hotel offers a charming historic atmosphere with its old coaching inn details. The comfortable rooms provide a cozy retreat, and the breakfast selection stands out for its variety and quality.
Accessing the car park is a hassle. many guests struggle to find it, and once there, it's inconvenient to navigate. Rooms can get uncomfortably warm due to the lack of air conditioning, and opening windows isn't an option. The need for refurbishment is apparent—carpets are worn, and bathroom fittings, like the toilet seat, should be better maintained. Noise from the adjacent kebab shop in the lane can disrupt sleep, especially when local nightlife kicks off. TV service is limited with a shaky signal, and a broken mirror light made grooming a challenge.

I stayed for one night in the Classic Double Room. The room was beautifully decorated, very clean, and spacious. The staff greeted me with a warm welcome and were attentive throughout my stay. Fresh milk in the room was a nice touch. I enjoyed a superb full English breakfast that was well presented and delicious. I found the room to be a bit warm and couldn't open the windows for fresh air, which was uncomfortable. The bathroom had a crack in the side of the bath, but it was still functional. Great location in the center of Welshpool with convenient on-site parking. I would return for the service and breakfast.
